TASK 4: TAKE PART IN A MOCK INTERVIEW
You will be working with two partners for this task. Each person in your group will have a chance to do each job. You will be the interviewer once, the interviewee once, and work the camera once.
Here is an example of how your jobs will change each day.
| DAY # | GROUP MEMBER'S NAME | JOB FOR THE DAY |
| Day 1 | Mark | Interviewer |
| Monique | Interviewee |
| Carlos | Cameraman |
| Day 2 | Mark | Cameraman |
| Monique | Interviewer |
| Carlos | Interviewee |
| Day 3 | Mark | Interviewee |
| Monique | Camerman |
| Carlos | Interviewer |
Step 1: Work as a group. Research what types of questions are usually asked during an interview.
Step 2: Write questions that each interviewer can ask during the mock interviews. Make sure that the questions are appropriate for each job.
Step 3: Prepare yourselves for the interviews. Read some interviewing tips. Learn what to wear to an interview. Finally, learn how important body language can be.
Step 4: Learn how to use your school's video camera. You will each videotape one interview. It is important to make sure that everyone in your group learns how to operate the video camera before the interviews begin. You will have a chance to watch the videos later. This will let you see what went well and not-so-well. If your school does not have a video camera, the cameraman can be an observer. He or she can watch the interviews and take notes.
